The queen of decluttering and tidying up is Marie Kondo. Her book is a NY Times #1 bestseller, and you only have to open page 1 to realise why. Her system is simple and void of rules. Her one tip is to surround yourself with things that give you joy. In itself, this is such a liberating thought. Spring clean your space, house and wardrobe so you can enjoy it.

Good energy comes from having cleared out the old – and the physical removal of things and clothes that you no longer need sparks a mental re-charge too.

One woman who started an online revolution is Lisa Leake. After reading Michael Pollan’s In Defense of Food, Lisa decided her family’s eating habits needed an overhaul. She, her husband, and their two small girls pledged to go 100 days without eating highly processed or refined foods. Not only did the family health change, but she inspired so many others to have a better relationship with food. Her recipes, and approach to food made her book a #1 best seller.

Winter is a cosy season for all things lazy, although it doesn’t have to be 😉 . Spring comes with new green leaves, and staying inside is just not on any more. Go outside and enjoy the light. For the already active, the fitness spring clean comes with upping your workout challenges. Try new activities. Get yourself into a gym, and schedule a trial strength training lesson. We all need muscle to deal with our everyday lives and lifting light weights recharges you on every level. Get into Yoga and Pilates to increase flexibility, core strength and overall energy levels.

Getting fit has little to do with ‘perfect body’ syndrome – Oh No! It’s about feeling good for what life has in store for you. A better fitness level increases your ability to feel, be and do good!

With a new season you will want to take a look at your relationships. It’s easy to say that you want to get rid of your boss, or upgrade to wife/husband 2.0.
